Francesca Floris is a film producer, director and writer with a deep knowledge of classical and liberal arts subjects and with previous work experience in fields as theatre and music. From 2005 to 2009 Francesca studied at the "Luigi Canepa" Music Academy in Sassari; her main subjects were saxophone and piano. In 2010 Francesca was part of the Venice International Film Festival Youth Jury during the 67th edition of the event. The jury is composed of 20/24 people selected between over 6000 students.
She moved to London in 2011, to attend Brunel University, where she met and started working with Kristijonas Dirse. The degree course attended at Brunel provided a balanced combination of academic film theory and practice, and helped her to improve her production skills.
In September 2014, Francesca moved to the US for a year to improve her education in Media Management at The New School in New York. In April 2015 she was accepted as MFA candidate at the USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles, but did not enrol.
At the moment Francesca is participating in performance and visual arts projects as director and producer. In September 2015 she was accepted into the Producing program at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. She came in first place in the selection for the Producing course and 14th place in the selection for the Directing course.
